If Piccolo gathers power you better do it too. You'll end up attacking first here, so use a 3 stage attack and put in the commands to gain some CC. After a bit of talking, you will fight with Piccolo.
Now go back to Piccolo, talk to him, and repeat this process until he asks you what type of deck you want. I won't tell you the answer so that you know how well you understand the battle system.
